He has dedicated the last 40 years to promoting accessibility to the arts in Prince Edward Island. He was a founding member of the Prince Edward Island Council of the Arts, an executive member of the Trust of Fathers of Confederation Centre of the Arts and is currently active at the Prince Edward Island Crafts Council. In addition, he has created and implemented a multitude of art courses across the province, notably at Holland College. An artist himself, his concern for others has led him to volunteer his time and donate some of his works to various groups for their fundraising.
