More than a shrewd and respected businessman, he is also someone with a wonderful capacity to listen to his heart and exercise his generosity. In setting up his foundation, the president and founder of Ameublements Tanguay Inc. came to the aid of the community and especially children living with illness or disability. Many agencies and hospitals, from Trois-Rivières to Gaspé, have benefited from his support, including the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis, Les Enfants d'Amour and the Fondation pour l'autisme. For a number of years, he has also supported young athletes financially and as a volunteer and has been honorary chair of many fundraising campaigns.
