An authority on notarial civil liability, he has influenced the evolution and development of his profession through his work as a jurist, author and professor. He has established himself in his field through his publications, notably by authoring several volumes of the Répertoire de droit of the Chambre des notaires du Québec and La responsabilité civile du notaire, which won him the prestigious Walter Owen Award. Professor Emeritus of Law at the University of Ottawa, he has also distinguished himself at the Université Laval and the Université de Sherbrooke. In addition, he has been an influential member of various committees of the Chambre des notaires and a key contributor to La Revue du Notariat.
