Choosing to build his career as a chemist at Mount Allison University, he modernized teaching and research methods. He has involved his students in his pioneering work and has given them publication opportunities. He attracted millions in research grants to this undergraduate program, encouraging generations of young Canadians to pursue their education in Atlantic Canada. Officially retired, he continues to inspire and share his passion with students as a University Research Professor.
