A respected orthopedic surgeon, he is known for his remarkable contribution to the development of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, making him a legendary figure in that part of the province. He founded the orthopaedics division at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital in Amos and is responsible in no small part for the excellent reputation it enjoys. Also, as an active member of cultural and community organizations and a supporter of national unity, he has always been dedicated to the well-being of the people in his region and his country.
