She is a free thinker who has been a force for positive social change. Beginning in the 1960s, she displayed remarkable courage lobbying tirelessly for improved social services and the establishment of first-class educational, recreational and cultural facilities in northern Ontario. An invaluable member of several key organizations in Thunder Bay, she represents the spirit of giving which has helped to build communities across Canada.
