As the Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police, he has been at the vanguard of the movement to modernize law enforcement services across Canada. He has successfully piloted the force through a massive transformation, implementing progressive advances in service delivery such as community policing and minority recruiting initiatives. His vision for the future has enabled the OPP to better safeguard public security and respond to the needs of the citizens it serves. In addition, he has been an active supporter of community-based organizations such as the United Way.
