Following a distinguished career at the University of Calgary, she went on to serve as President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg during a period of continuing restraint. As a member of countless committees, she has worked tirelessly to improve educational facilities, programs and services. Her leadership and influence have been felt not only at the university but also in the wider community where she has been a director of The Winnipeg Foundation and the city's symphony orchestra. Throughout her life she has been an inspiration to women in education, encouraging attitudinal change and innovation among academics, business leaders and law makers.
