One of the key people in Calgary's Francophone community, he has made an unprecedented contribution to the development of French-language culture and education, both locally and provincially. He is a businessman first and foremost but has offered his time, expertise and services to numerous associations and organizations in the Francophone communities of Alberta and Saskatchewan. He also founded the Franco-Saskatchewanian weekly, L'Eau Vive, the Sylvain Cultural Centre and Calgary's Club Inter.
