Terence Macartney-Filgate is a groundbreaking documentary filmmaker and cinematographer whose work has been influential for more than 50 years. One of the pioneers of cinéma-vérité, he helped to refine this unscripted, observational approach to documentary making as it evolved at the National Film Board of Canada and then in the United States. He is also known as a generous teacher and mentor.
