A professor at the University of Waterloo and founding member of the Canadian Mathematical Competition, he has dedicated his career to encouraging excellence in students. He has trained Canadian teams for the International Mathematics Olympiad, authored six secondary school texts and chaired two foundations that administer significant scholarship programs. An inspiring teacher, he has stimulated interest and achievement among students at all levels.
