Recognized both in his professional capacity and as a politician, he is also known for his sense of diplomacy. In the course of his long career, he often held positions of public trust. He was, in turn, mayor, MP, Canadian parliamentary representative to NATO, senator and Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec. Much sought after, he has always been willing to sponsor charitable organizations. Anxious to provide our young artists with opportunities to express themselves, he has actively participated in such projects as developing the Forget Estate and St-Irénée Centre music camps.
