A patron in the true sense of the word, he gives with a spirit of joy rather than one of obligation, quietly supporting many public institutions in the health, culture and arts sectors. He has personally funded Canadian Opera Company productions and his gifts to the Art Gallery of Ontario have greatly enhanced the Gallery's collections.
