A professor of pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan, he is acknowledged as an outstanding scientist and researcher in drug metabolism, analytical chemistry and central nervous system drug investigation. His world-class stature is evident in his numerous appointments to editorial boards and professional bodies such as the Fédération Internationale Pharmaceutique. Largely because of his reputation, his laboratory has been able to attract funding from American and European pharmaceutical companies.
