The epitome of voluntary service, she has touched the lives of countless people in her quest to improve and beautify her Kitsilano community. From accessible buildings and recreational facilities for mobility impaired persons to recycling programs, she has motivated others to become involved. She is especially well-known for her persistent efforts over many years to preserve the historic steam locomotive that pulled the first passenger train to Vancouver.
