He helped build one of the most successful sports franchises in the country and brought the excitement of winning back-to-back World Series to Blue Jays fans everywhere. Highly respected by management and players, he now serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Major League Baseball, the highest-ranking Canadian in major league history. Known for his affability, natural optimism and leadership, he has gone beyond his professional commitments and given unstinting personal support to the wider community, including the Stratford Festival and the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry Foundation. In addition, he has made dreams come true for youngsters at the Bloorview Children's Hospital, where the highlight of his regular visits is the annual game for the Beeston Cup in wheelchair hockey.
