She has cared for Edmonton's physically and mentally disabled youth for half a century. Many of the children she has nurtured in her own home have been strengthened by her care and compassion. By providing a home filled with love and emotional encouragement, she has enabled the children to become productive members of the community and to be self-sufficient as adults. An opera lover, she opened the world of the arts to her charges by treating them to performances of the Edmonton Opera. Both the opera company and her children have benefited from her constant support.
