She has distinguished herself as a social worker, teacher, and volunteer throughout more than forty-five years of community involvement. As Associate Professor at the McGill University School of Social Work, she was involved in the growth and development of social services and planning in a wide range of organizations, at local, provincial and national levels. Her dedication and creative leadership have enriched institutions such as Centraide, the Red Feather Foundation, Big Brothers and Meals on Wheels. Her work on bridging social and ethnic differences has allowed new alliances to be formed within the Montreal community.
