Throughout his career, he has been a defender of the rights of Franco-Ontarians, enabling them to obtain legal services in French. To achieve this goal, he helped draft French language versions of the rules of civil and criminal procedure. When he was a Justice of the Supreme Court of Ontario, he rendered more than five hundred judgments that have been published in law reports. In addition, he has written numerous articles and delivered lectures on the law of evidence, civil procedure and oral arguments.
