Her life has been one of many firsts. One of the first women in Canada to graduate as a pilot in the Canadian Forces and our first female jet flying instructor and flight commander, she is also one of the first two women in the world to qualify as CF-18 pilot. Although officially retired from the military, she continues to serve as a member of the Minister's Advisory Board on Gender Integration in the Armed Forces. Active in her community, she shares her "can-do" attitude with youth groups, inspiring young men and women following in her career path.
