He is a virtuoso of the clarinet, a master of his instrument, who has won international praise as a soloist and chamber player. His interpretations of classical works for clarinet are flawless, rich and technically superb. He has also succeeded remarkably as a crossover classical-jazz musician. In addition to a busy career teaching, recording and performing, he is Artistic Director of the Festival of the Sound, bringing Canadian and international musicians together each summer in an exciting program of concerts and workshops in Parry Sound, Ontario.
