For many years he has helped to effect positive social and political change, especially for minority groups, as a school trustee for Etobicoke, Toronto City Councillor, Member of the Ontario Legislature and lawyer. His leadership and common sense have helped to combat racism and injustice and his actions have opened doors for others, motivating them to become involved in finding solutions to community problems. He is an outstanding example of hope for a better future, who has contributed to public life with dedication, dignity and integrity.
