A nurse, she coordinates the team of volunteers in the palliative care unit at Notre-Dame Hospital in Montreal. The policies she helped develop for the care of terminally ill patients, have spread throughout Quebec and several European countries. The enormous progress made in palliative care in the past twenty years is in large part due to her immense dedication and her many hours of volunteer work. Co-author of two books and a number of articles, she is a source of inspiration and an example to all her colleagues and many professionals in the health-care field.
