Dedicated to uncovering and recording the history of Nova Scotia's Shelburne County, she has spent many years researching the region's Loyalist heritage, early settlers and first inhabitants. She is the author of, among other works, the highly acclaimed King's Bounty: an Early History of Shelburne. Furthermore, she was largely responsible for the restoration of Ross-Thomson House, the province's only surviving eighteenth-century shop.
