A scholar turned administrator, he has made significant contributions to the academic world, as well as to his local community. Although his area of expertise is the history and arts of Greece, he is well-known for his interest in Canadian heritage and for his leadership as president of the University of Prince Edward Island and chairman of the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation.
