Paul Michael Boothe, C.M.
London, Ontario
Member of the Order of Canada
Paul Michael Boothe has been a key figure in Canadian economic policy making. As a professor at the University of Alberta and Western University, he has helped bridge the gap between economic theory and the practical realities of policy implementation. He applied this knowledge for the benefit of Canadians as a senior official in the provincial and federal governments. In these roles, he is best known for his leadership promoting fiscal reform in Saskatchewan and for supporting the Canadian auto industry during the financial crisis.
