Chair of the board of directors of the Toronto-Dominion Bank and vice-chair of Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, he is one of Canada’s leading corporate governance advisors and a legal expert in mergers and acquisitions. Highly regarded for his sound counsel, he is a sought-out corporate director, and has strengthened many major corporations, organizations and educational institutions. He is a patron of the arts and a volunteer, and has played a pivotal role within the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, notably as the chair of its board of trustees.
