Many organizations have benefited from her dedication and expertise. A committed volunteer, Cynthia Baxter has played a fundamental role in the success of the Community Foundation of Ottawa. Through the Forum for Young Canadians, she has helped promote cross-cultural exchanges among francophone and anglophone communities across the country. Committed to accessibility as well as excellence in education, she is the former vice-president of International Baccalaureate North America and was the founding president of the CODE Foundation, which helps to promote literacy in Africa and South America. A generous yet humble philanthropist, she has helped a number of causes, notably brain tumour research at the Montreal Neurological Institute.
