A leading educator of children with hearing impairments, she developed an auditory training program, the first of its kind, at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. The method, which focuses on the child's residual hearing, enables them to acquire listening skills, develop speech and, thereby, more fully realize their individual potential.
