Since his arrival in Canada 25 years ago he has been involved in promoting equality for all Canadians and has been committed to the multicultural heritage of our country. He was largely responsible for bringing together 30 national organizations of cultural, religious and visible minority communities to form the predecessor of the Canadian Ethnocultural Council and also served as President of the Council.
