At the age of 86 he remains as vibrant and enthusiastic in his art as when he first began painting the faces and scenes of Montreal during the Depression. His artistic rendering of life over seven decades is an important record of the heritage of a city and of changing times and attitudes. Throughout his life he has demonstrated social commitment by donating many of his paintings to various causes.
