Piano instructor, musician, choir conductor and speaker, he has devoted his life to musical education and expression in Canada. The Canadian Amateur Musicians, Montreal's Bach choir, the Petit Ensemble Vocal and Urgence-Chanter owe him their existence. He has continually promoted music across the country by inspiring several generations of young musicians and by enhancing the reputation of Canadian artists in Europe.
