An accomplished portrait, landscape and wildlife artist, she is also an internationally renowned paleoartist. Her ability to blend science with art to portray prehistoric life forms in their environment is unparalleled. One of the many outstanding examples of her work, the Life in the Ancient Seas mural, is at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington. She has also contributed to major educational projects, including a series of children's "pop-up" books she illustrated for National Geographic.
