Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, he is devoted to enriching the spiritual, educational and cultural lives of Ukrainian Canadians, and encouraging them to support Canada's multicultural society. The Metropolitan served as a teacher in rural Saskatchewan and as chancellor of St. Andrew's College in Manitoba. Currently, he is honorary patron of the Osvita Foundation, which promotes English-Ukrainian bilingual education.
