This Albertan has fostered the growth of musical talent as a long-time music teacher and critic and as the founder of a charitable foundation dedicated to developing and educating young musicians. Blind since childhood, she has also been working on behalf of visually impaired persons throughout her career and has written a ground-breaking book, Music Through Braille.
