She has encouraged the development and training of Canadian youth through her unstinting efforts with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Canada. Past President of both the provincial and national councils, she also served the program admirably as a representative in the international arena. An active volunteer, she is now involved with the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto.
