This "nurse of the world" has continued to enhance her profession by offering her dynamic leadership to numerous national and international health organizations. The long-time Executive Director of the Canadian Nurses' Association, recent President of the Victorian Order of Nurses and consultant to the World Health Organization, she has had a powerful influence on nursing education and the delivery of health services, not only to Canadians but also to people throughout the world. This is a promotion within the Order.
