As a soloist, chamber player, orchestra musician and teacher he has had a profound influence on music in Canada for the past forty years, and in China before that time. He virtually trained an entire generation of Canadian cellists who are now members of symphony orchestras throughout North America and beyond. Despite his advancing years, he continues to teach privately and at the Domaine Forget, contributing to the ongoing development of young musicians.
