Edmonton philanthropist, community builder and entrepreneur, he has supported, often anonymously, a wide range of charitable and athletic endeavours throughout his life. A valued Director of the Alberta Cancer Board, he takes a personal interest in many patients, especially children. Former President of the Edmonton Oilers, he played a key role in bringing major league hockey to that city.
