Dedicated to serving the public, first as a family doctor, he has enjoyed a successful and productive career in public service. As Manitoba's Minister of Health and of Education, he introduced numerous new programs and services that greatly benefited the province's citizens. He most recently distinguished himself as Manitoba's twentieth Lieutenant Governor.
