He is a master carver whose works in wood, paper, canvas and precious metals are haunting evocations of the Kwa-gulth culture. The pieces he has made for potlatches and public and private collections include totem poles, grave markers, houseposts and a full size whaling canoe, ceremonial items such as masks, frontlets, rattles and bowls, and totems, prints and drums.
