A leader in the Canadian aerospace industry, he has contributed greatly to aviation history, particularly through his work on gas turbine engine development. A Fellow of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute, he has been active in a number of scientific organizations and has continually promoted the advancement of aviation.
