Former director of the department of otolaryngology at Laval University's Faculty of Medicine and, until recently, head of the otorhino-laryngology department at the university hospital, his greatest achievement is the pioneering of surgery for deafness in the province of Quebec and, more specifically, in Québec City. He was also instrumental in the development of the first soundproof room and the training of the first audiologist in Québec.
