He has led a rich and varied career in religion, federal politics and broadcasting, throughout which he has avidly supported the common theme of international development. His previous missionary work in Brazil, his past membership on a North-South Task Force and his founding of Broadcasting for International Understanding, demonstrate his tireless efforts to foster Canada's understanding of her role in global progress.
