Not only is this Vancouver physician known internationally as a pioneer in the field of sports medicine, but he is a former athlete himself. His accomplishments in the field of sports medicine as a professor and as co-director of the sports medicine centre at the University of British Columbia are highlighted by his roles as Chairman of the B.C. Doping Patrol program and of the B.C. Elite Athlete program.
