An active member of his Fredericton community, this engineer and businessman dedicates his free time to a number of industrial and cultural development organizations, as well as to local social agencies and health care institutions as a director and fund-raiser. He is a governor emeritus of the University of New Brunswick which established a chair in highway construction and pavement research in his honour.
