An enthusiastic environmental and outdoor educator, she is having a significant impact on the increasing conservation and environmental awareness of both children and adults, not only in Alberta, but across Canada, through her teaching and writing. She was particularly effective as the volunteer National Chairperson of Wildlife '87, which initiated the second century of wildlife conservation in Canada.
