He has served his country and its citizens as a Quebec Minister of Cultural Affairs, a professor and a cultural advisor at various levels of government. He has been a member of delegations representing Quebec and Canada abroad and special advisor to the Speaker of the House of Commons. Currently Special Assistant to the Minister of Communications, he is a recognized authority on French language, literature and culture.
