Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of Manitoba, this widely recognized physician, scholar and researcher has demonstrated vision, foresight and leadership in Canadian cardiovascular science. He pioneered studies on the recognition and treatment of impending heart disease and founded the first clinic in Canada devoted to hypertension, one of the first in the world.
