A leader among Canadian parasitologists, this British Columbian is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the use of parasites for identification of Pacific Ocean fish stocks. His work has contributed significantly to the development of fisheries parasitology as well as to the solution of practical problems associated with the management of fisheries on Canada's west coast.
